I very rarely stay in England for Christmas. We decided to go to Amsterdam and Malta.  In Malta on 1^st January 2016 Carl’s birthday he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes. On our return to England we bought an engagement ring and Carl went down on his knees and proposed again. He also contacted my father for his blessing.

It just felt right.
